Late on Friday I received an invitation by text to get my annual flu jab and Covid booster. Signed up online for 12.30 for the flu jab and 16.30 for the booster. I was passing the Covid centre after having had my flu jab at my Doctor's surgery at 12.40 . No queues so I went to ask if I could go in early for my booster. There were no queues because lunchtime had just started!!!!! However, the steward asked the last nurse if she would jab me. No problems, done there and then. Then things went pear shaped, of the 8 possible reactions I got :-
Very sore arm on the Covid side and I mean SORE. Weird headache which has just worn off at 17.00 today. General aches and pains in my joints. Very tired, so watched/slept through hours of darts from Ireland.
However, I'm sure it will be well worth the bit of aggro!

One of the questions you are asked as a contre indication before having a covid jab here is have you had any other vaccin in the last two weeks. Obviously there are reasons for this.

It’s quite common to have your flu and Covid vaccines at the same time in the UK

Lucky you, I’ve had a don’t call us we’ll call you from my surgery, as the daily cases yesterday were now 10,556 higher than last week, I’m beginning to get a bit worried about being out and about again.

Darts or snooker from Ireland ? Fair cop guvnor! It was darts from Austria and snooker from Ireland! I have been at death's door though mate! Not the old “I’ve been at deaths door” excuse ? I really enjoyed both competitions as I do all darts and snooker comps. The jab reactions sound ‘orrible, I have been given the possibility of having both jabs at the same time but declined the offer. My flu jab is due on the 26th with the booster early December. A chap I know who is a physio had his first Pfizer jab two weeks ago because he was told he had to have the two jabs in order to carry on practicing as a kine. He’s a fit young lad who is quite ill following his first Pfizer jab. He is a bit better now but dreading his second jab…..He is anti vaccine but had no choice in the matter.
