Insulate Britain are an interesting bunch. The majority of their demonstrators are retired people. It's the geriatric sub group of XR. However for media interviews they focus on the one or two younger members that they have.

What's more worrying is that he might get an audience willing to follow him. Whether that audience will have the time, patience, and interest in reading his 20 page treatise is another thing.

Insulate Britain need the general public's support to effect change and they won't do that by disrupting normal life, they should target government ministers and Tory MP's instead.

Shouting and screaming, sitting in the road etc are useless; they need to put forward achievable ideas that can be understood by people on the Clapham omnibus. For example, forced removal of plastics in packaging in supermarkets by fining them. Or, maybe extra taxes on gas guzzling cars. Minimal mpg for new vehicles. Fines for local authorities that do not recycle properly but just shove the stuff in landfill. Big tax rises on long distance air tickets and private planes. Ban local passenger flights where trains are a viable alternative, as, for example, in France.
These are things that are visible and understandable but there is much much more than can be done. As an example, supermarkets in France still sell energy inefficient fridges and freezers. Answer, ensure the can sell only A*** goods or whatever it is called.
Some things are being done, of course but there is so much more, like banning the importation of certain wood, worldwide. One could go on forever!

A week or so back I was in Boulanger waiting to be served and strolled around the fridge displays. Very interested to see every single one of the large two door American style fridges were energy rated F. Fec knows how much energy an €800 coffee machine uses.

Well, continue not to buy stuff fruit and veg that have come from far away, make stuff last, not buy what I don't need, watch the fuel consumption on the car, reduce journeys as far as possible, insulate the house even more, use the electric mower instead of the petrol, plan an environmentally funeral ( not that far away).
And you?

For starters support campaigns like Insulate Britain. I think most people with half a brain support their aims but perhaps not their campaign methods.
