Before now I had never appreciated the nuance in English of basement as opposed to cellar.
So yes, this property has a sous-sol or basement and not a cellar, as cellars or caves go 2m or above would be a generous height.

Not sure why you think I would say something has full head height that I have been in if it did not. I do not think you said that, you said "full height cellar" and not "full head height cellar", standard dwelling ceiling height in France is 2.5m plus a little bit for lifting the 2.5m wall board to meet the ceiling board, that leaves 40cm above an internal door frame or 30cm above an external one, all figures approx. Most sous-sols are 2.1m, I know this very well because I have been searching for the holy grail (to me) of one with a 2.5m ceiling height or more for a vehicle lift. The last photo shows the ledged & braced door very close to the ceiling hence my asking if it was 2.1m high. I am not sure why you making this a contest or saying that I overpaid, I have already complimented you on how well you have done and what value it represents to my much smaller, much more expensive similar purchase in terrible condition, I am very pleased for you. It looks like a very nice area as well. Im almost 2m and can walk about without any issues or ducking, that to me is a good head height. No one is saying its a competition but you said you paid 100.000 to a liquidator for a small ruin, it sounds alot unless its the old Chateau. For 100K I would have had a house built and have change at the end. Normally with liquidation sales you can get the property for a fraction of what the real value is.

I did not say whatsoever what you are attributing to me, you are confusing 2 different things whether by accident or design I neither know nor care.
My current property the hôtel was purchased from the liquidator in 2004 for much less than market value, a little more than the taxes outstanding. I have since added a lot of value which has now in part been lost through les attentats, Brexit and finally Covid, - C'est la vie!
The property that I am currently purchasing is not costing €100K, you created that figure yourself, it is being bought through an immobilier from the heritees, the widow owns half and is usufruitier of the other half owned by the 4 children.
I had found the property in the summer, when I returned in November to try and trace the owners the immo's sign was already up, I doubt that without the immo they would have agreed amongst themselves to sell for the price I offered, one that I am very happy to pay, just as I am very happy that you have found a similar property for much less money.
I have found the exact property I had been searching for exactly where I wanted to live, I am paying a low price for a wreck which is great because otherwise I would have been paying for things that I would have subsequently ripped out to make my home how I want it to be.

Wow! That is even bigger than the front view suggested, the rear view made it look tiny.
The house that I am buying is very similar, sous-sol, veranda etc, 30% smaller, nearly 5 times the price, in a terrible condition requiring top to bottom renovation to make it habitable and I thought I had a bargain!!!!
I am paying for "emplacement, emplacement, emplacement" and potential though.
My sous-sol is not semi-enterré so has full height doors & windows.
Something looks odd between the photos and the floor plan, the entrance stairs are shown from the back underneath the small centre window, maybe the door is hidden by the bushes (its a very small photo) but there doesn't seem to be a path to the door if it is there.
I can see a couple of walls that you will no doubt be removing
You play the victim card but you forget what you post. You said you paid nearly 5 times what I paid. Last time I checked 20000 x 5 = 100000

Nearly 5 times. = more than 4 times, less than 5 times.
No victim nor memory loss here, I recalled exactly what I said and when you came up with your figure to point score I did not contradict.
