Son has been and gone, he finished putting the bike together in a few minutes - not as attractive as your lovely rooms, Johnny, , but so glad it’s completed and I can use it now.

Yes I know exactly how you feel, Covid meant we are nearly 3 years behind were we wanted to be (we bought Dec 2019), and even at 61, its getting harder by the month......so having a real push this next year to get stuff done......... Spare a thought for those of us in our 70s with a lot still left to do. Things got done a lot quicker ten or twenty years ago and materials were a lot cheaper as well. Now we're limited by what we can afford and how heavy things are.

I feel for you both! We were lucky insofar as the 'project' happened a good ten years earlier than planned, between 2007 and 2009. We simply couldn't do it now, either financially or physically. Even the maintenance is becoming a challenge

Its nice, and not too tricky to install, the cabinet is a modified Ikea Bekvam unit, shaved off the back top a bit, shaved the legs and lifted the bottom shelf a bit so it was off the floor

JD, would it put you out if I shared photos of my work, on your thread, which I have now fully started ( currently creating a new bathroon)? Not a problem if you would prefer I start my own thread.

Purely from my point of view, I think separate threads would be better. I'd like to follow each of your renovations and I'm sure I'd get them muddled if you mixed the two.

You have transformed that room into a very pleasing bathroom. Well done! Also thank you for showing us what can be done with imagination and hard work.
