There's been an American in-flight refuelling plane circling over Poland about 100 miles from the Belarus/Ukraine border for quite a few days now. Once the Ukrainian lads change the labels on the instruments and load some ammo refuelling should be safer that way than landing at a risky airfield at home.

Not sure that even this would work as it will still be construed that the US, and therefore NATO, are involved in safe passage of the aircraft into Ukraine. I know little about strategy, but it is how I would see it in Poo-tin's shoes. I can no longer watch Sky News, it just harks back to much darker days that our Mums and Dads battled never to see again. I am not much of a one for tears, but there comes a point... Dare I ask it, but is WW3 inevitable??

It looks as if the Russians are winning in some areas by sheer attrition, particularly along the coastal strip where their advance has been steady and relentless, having perhaps better terrain, logistical support from the sea and leaders. Once Ukraine is cut off from the sea the real problems start as they wont be able to export or import except by land. One must hope for internal revolt in Russia but I am sure the forces of law and prder are too strong for the general population.

Let’s hope for coordinated revolt on more than one front within the environs of Russia.
