Our’s has gone up from 860€ to 990€ plus there’s the taxe d’habitation to come. You will need to get out and have a break but not next week 35 tomorrow and that's no where near your apartment.

Thanks, Mysty, I was planning to fly out in a few days time, but leaving it for a little while until it’s steady below 30C, maybe in a couple of weeks.

I've downsized and moved closer to the city, mysty, so we're on the bus network to make it easier for my son to get to and from lycee and be able to get around the area generally. Smaller house but big on convenience - and only 360 a year for tax foncieres, so much better than the one I've left and the other bills should be smaller too. I was going to sell the pair of houses I left but landlords kept coming to see it and in the end I was convinced to let it instead, which I may live to regret yet! I've sold off two other houses which were expensive for tax foncieres (centre of a village and in the city) and also needed lots of work to get them out of the DPE G class and am glad of that now it's time for the bills to come in! Plenty of people have no issues renting out property and it gives you an income. Have you heard from Jo S recently, I have seen nothing from her on FB or anywhere else for a long time now. Hopefully it'll go better than some of my past experiences - I must be due better luck with tenants by now Yes I was messaging Jo in the last few weeks on facebook - I'll tell her to pop in and say hello!
