Yikes - time to leave the town and city and go back to rural with no facilities but cheaper tax fonciere! Maybe within cycling difference this time though, with fuel costs going mad too.

My bills for the Charente are online now and it's gone up 7.1% - a bit of a shock since it normally only goes up a tenner or so!
I'm awaiting the Normandy bill - they're always quite late.

Mine was 207€ last year, just got this years 795€ that hurt, but the house is now in its third year so to be expected, but it still hurts.

Ours has gone up 100€ so not too bad. Now around 1700€

It was to be expected,when they took away the tax d'habitation, the money had to come from somewhere.Not pleased to say the least.

I doubt these steep rises can be justified but there seems to be very little oversight.

Just had our notification of ours. We bought and moved in last year and were expecting it to be about 1500€. A very pleasant surprise at 1200€😎
