Without doubt, she was a selfless person deboted to her duties, that notwithstanding a couple arguable lapses, she made herself a role model few could claim to be anywhere close.
And to think that her bumbling successor will be head of the Church of England…

Won't happen. It would be Operation Unicorn in Scotland. I am hoping it will be neither. London Bridge it is.

I just hope he brings back beheading. When he's finished with the politicians, I could furnish him with a helpful list

Her death will be a turning point for the monarchy, the Queen was respected around the world for her duty to the country but Charles can never hope to engender the same feelings, the only way he can keep the monarchy relevant/tolerated is to slim it down so the only people we see are himself, Camilla and the immediate heirs.
I see there are murmurings amongst the populace about the 10 day mourning period and the cost of the state funeral etc, this is an historic moment for the UK and the plans have been in place for many years but I can't imagine it will ever happen again.

Everybody with one of these will be strutting their stuff on the morning walk this morning. We're lucky he never chose his middle name, Albert. The more naive of you may need to Google it.

We are not monarchists . It is sad for her family , but how can anyone be suprised or shocked by her death ? She was 96 years old ! Watching the news this morning , made me turn it off . Long live king Charles and queen Camilla !?

I just hope he brings back beheading. When he's finished with the politicians, I could furnish him with a helpful list He should be the first , same as no 1 charles Start with Banks, Farage, Johnson et al. for T’reason then get ready for Camila de Ville and her 101 Dalmatians. Take note of her ancestry.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camilla,_Queen_consort_of_the_United_Kingdom

Never been a monarchist but it is sad to see our Queen die. She was much better than a dictator or president in my opinion. However, I am alarmed how all the Radio and TV channels have gone over the top. Ten blooming days of it in total.
I was sat watching the athletics from Switzerland on the red button, not even a "proper" channel when a sign came up saying that the Queen had died, then the screen went blank and changed to talking heads about the Queen.
Got our boxes of CD's out and yesterday we binged on Roseanne. Bought for me by our youngsters many, many years ago. Still a good laugh!

Agreed. Now we will have weeks of eulogies and documentaries surrounding her life, her death, her funeral, the new King, and endless soundbites with weeping people in the street.
