Absolutely correct. One might be able to forgive 14.2 million people for being stupid enough to believe the lies but not the ones that refuse to believe the evidence today. Nifty's post highlights one of the biggest reasons for the brainwash. The rich City crooks didn't want their style cramped by new EU regulations. Money talks. Money is power. And the rich are never, ever satisfied. It is not just a problem of the rich not being satisfied. It is a problem of administering resources more fairly. I do not know of a practical way out of the current situation in the UK but wonder how the Japanese grew there economy so rapidly Post WW2 during a period when the incomes of directors and management of a company we’re not more than x10 of its least paid workers. Market Forces, ? I don’t know but here is what the propaganda says www.nippon.com/en/in-depth/a04003/As a French citizen I don’t want the UK back in the EU. The UK had their chance and blew it.

I fully understand that viewpoint and I do gain some satisfaction that Brexit has turned out to be a very bad thing for those morons that voted for it but sadly their stupidity has impacted on the lives and futures of millions of other people. It is those other people that shouldn't have to suffer. And some EU voices have admitted that losing the UK as a member weakened the Union to an extent and the frictionless trade that has been lost was not an inconsiderable amount. Any deals that were/are made after Brexit won't significantly fill that gap. The fact that UK never wanted to join the euro was an indication that they weren't really serious about membership. I'm surprised they were given as much power as they were at the top table.

You may well be right about the UK, but I don't think that rejecting the Euro and being a good member of the EU are mutually exclusive - Sweden, Denmark and Poland come to immediate mind - although Hungary might be another UK.

Not a problem tim17. Countries joining the EU have to demonstrate financial correspondence with EU rules before being admitted to the Euro.

That’s right. Don’t let them have a referendum because they aren’t capable of making their own decision. Obviously after people such as yourselves making decisions for them they decided enough was enough. You don’t understand what democracy is. Their vote is as valuable as yours but you don’t accept that do you cos you know better. The EU keep asking the same questions until they get the result they want. The UK don’t do that. Accept the result & move on. I also can’t believe the tosh being spouted about rejoining, cloud cuckoo land.

Especially now that we are all enjoying all the positive benefits to the UK of this momentous plebiscite. In fact I'll even list the entire series of benefits: 1. Er...

They're a funny sort of off black. And these gullible Brexit types don't seem to realise that the burgundy colour for EU passports was only ever advisory, not compulsory, so the UK could have issued any colour of passport it liked at any time. Think Serbia.
