All of the cars appeared to have been passing the camera very fast, far to fast for what I am assuming would be a 30mph limit (shops on both sides of the road, parked cars etc) sugegsting to me that the others were unmarked Police vehicles.
As Exile said they probably knew exactly who was being chased and how they would react when cornered, at this stage prior to trial they cannot say any more than that the vehicle was reported as stolen, anything else would be an allegation that might prejudice the rights of the poor souls to a fair trial. Otherwise they would have written "chasing a stolen vehicle driven by someone who lives in a caravan without a toilet"
Well, I just posted a polite question! The heading of this site says "All things French" Why would anyone feel the need to post information about events in the UK? Best wishes from Toulouse.
You'll find a lot of threads aren't directly related to France, some where the relationship is oblique at best, and others that aren't related to France at all.
However, the forum was set up not just to cater to topics directly related to France but also as a place where Francophiles could meet for a chat. As such there is no real limit to the extent of divergence from the core premise.
It's natural that there will be a significant interest in the UK because most members are (or were) UK citizens.
It's the variety of topics that keep forums alive.
