Well we are off to Rennes today and will start with Leroy, it cant be too difficult to find a suitable Vidage pour baignoire surely......... Do you mean like this: Yes exactly, we saw the one we wanted on the Leroy website, unfortunately the only ones they stock in store are the cheap plastic ones, we bought one that would have sufficed from Brico Depot, but unfortunately the bath is too thick, so there is not enough purchase on either of the locking threads.......bit of a wasted trip, and now I have to return it before we leave next week

You should be OK with Leroy Merlin, but just a tip for future reference, JD. When you need pro building/trade stuff, many outlets are only open in the week. It's changing very gradually and some companies open on a Saturday morning now, but on the whole, it's Mon-Fri only. Oh and shut for two hours at lunchtime Yes the lunchtime thing has caught me out a few times.......

That’s really good news! I hope it did not include a long drive. At least it is an indoor job. I have just completed one but the next is outside and the weather is miserable and it can wait. Was the success related to acquiring the correct item or does it include the plumber fitting it?

Just acquiring the item, such relief, I can now fit it to the bath ready for the plumber while we are away.........and yes, it was a 100km drive each way, but there was a Brico Depot in nearby Dinan, so we returned the cheap plastic one that didn't fit.........so two jobs in one

A least you can relax a bit now having a successful mission. Hope all goes well with the fitting.
