The problem is that the ginger one and his American wife are trading off a family who cannot reply; that is cowardice and unjust.

The problem is that the ginger one and his American wife are trading off a family who cannot reply; that is cowardice and unjust. Of course they can reply. The only thing they can't do, constitutionally, is to vote and express political views. They can and should answer to claims they are racists and paedophiles.

My heart bleeds for the poor dear. Get off your ass and find a job. The rest of us had to do that at some point. Not jobs we liked particularly but necessary to pay the bills. No "golden spoon" advantages for the rest of us. He does have a job..,several...but just jobs that you don't approve of. I live off my pension and rental income...with a little bit of paid work to keep me interested in something I am interested in. Nothing there that would count as a 'job' in your eyes. Well since you are drawing a pension I would assume you did at some point work for it, and you also managed to wangle enough extra to afford to buy rental property. Good for you. Your little bit of paid work at the moment serves to keep you interested. I do quite a lot of unpaid work because I can't afford to pay someone else to do it. My state pension is a smidge less that a full one. I don't think either one of us is able to blab personal family secrets to make loadsa money and I personally wouldn't do so if I could. I don't worship the Yankee Dollar like the so-called "celebs" that do sod all except pose for the camera and gossip for the benefit of the soft in the head masses.

To nobody in particular, but more so to those critical of the advantages of royalty, don't you think criticism of Harry and Megan is a tad misplaced? Not one of us wouldn't capitalise on what we have, be it money, a skill, contacts or whatever. They could of course cut their noses off to spite their respective faces. Then we'd call them fools. You know that your best mate Boris will make a fortune out of a book or whatever when he.....ummm..... I wanted to say give up his job. But that does not fit well....cause I am not sure he has had one in his life. Is that OK with you. Fair game ? The difference with Megan Markle and Johnson is that she hasn't screwed up people's life to deserve the criticism she receives. I think I said before she has had no direct negative impact on us, the general public, but we're taught to hate her by the media, if we allow ourselves to be. Boris Johnson on the other hand is a ●●●●.

Mrs Markle is an American making her way as best she can from a not too privileged starting point, fine. The problem is that she is doing it on the backs of people who cannot reply, using trashy chat shows and spreading unproven half truths with the sole intention of making money and vaunting herself.
Hardly BJ.

He should be running the UK. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9871979/Boris-Johnson-nearly-drowned-swept-sea-Highlands-staycation-year.html I have been to Applecross. And the pub in the village. It is very nice. I like the idea of watching Boris being swept out to sea in Applecross whilst holding a pint.

Hardly BJ. I think you could also say that Boris Johnson is an elitist making his way as best he can from a privileged starting point. The problem is that he is doing it on the backs of people who can't reply (because they're dead, due to his ineffective control of the COVID crisis), using tame and trashy journalists and spreading unproven half truths and lies with the sole intention of making money for his mates and vaunting himself.

Frankly, FFS, I doubt that any of the current crop of UK political leaders could have done much better than BJ under the circumstances of the epidemic.

Do you have the figures for that, please, based on similar methods of counting? My Belgian contacts were horrified by the death rate particularly in old folks’ homes. Some had 100% death rates. But to be fair, that was in the early days of the pandemic.

Interesting. I wonder if it because of their decentralised and public/ private health system.
Anyway the Germans subsequently lost control of the virus.
PS grumpyish, you owe me an apology!

I'm afraid the statistics tell a very different story. Mr Johnson, at best, comes a poor fourth. Arlene Foster, albeit with a geographic advantage, tops the table.

How childish, I do not. Calling me a sad sod, however, is very offensive.
Have you proof?
There is a lot of information there. I takes more than a few seconds to digest.
