Does anyone actually check that you've taken the Day test and also the result because if not WTF is the point?

Good question, tim17; have not found or seen the answer to that yet. I guess that booking the thing so it appears on the locator form satisfies administration.

The PLF requirement ticks the “something must be done about the borders” requirement…and the requirement to book and pay is a bit of an earner for somebody.

Have just seena photo on the internet of a 'drop box' for the tests piled high and overflowing outside a pharmacy in London. This rather reinforces what you said, Tim, i.e. does anyone check them?
The article does say that some form of control on the testing companies should be better.

I wonder what success one would have if, after paying by credit card for an unsatisfactory service from a testing company, a claim was made against the card issuer.
