Well done to you both a very touching read of your posts as I have only just read it, it was like a cliff hanger and I was hoping all the way through that you would keep the cat, what have chosen to call it ?

He's adorable. If you haven't already named him can I suggest Lucky. Because he's one lucky boy to have found you two.

He has no name yet when I tried to get him out of the work shed, I was saying come here puss puss and when we have gone out and come home I call puss puss and he comes that will not be his name. She calls him Hamish but that will not be his name either. It is about time he had a name. Today's picture is next to my foot shoe size 10 or 44 euro size The fat cat look might happen when I reduce the size of the picture to be able to post a picture.

Hamish is a great name for him, the ginger fellow. Not quite Hame but Ham -ish.

I can always delete smthg older and less appealing .. a pic of your delightful new acquisition takes precedence for the moment 😊

Thanks to everyone one who gave advice on how to catch the cat. He killed the mouse but did not eat it. Our garden where we move to next year has a serious mouse and mole problem. I'm surprised at 8 to 9 weeks he could catch a mouse but he is fast.

I'm surprised at 8 to 9 weeks he could catch a mouse but he is fast. You have lots of surprises in store! One of my cats caught rabbits. My old cat once caught 5 mice in one day. He would devour them leaving just the innards. Here I've never seen a mouse but the new cats catch shrews but don't eat them. I love the photo by the woodburner. Pure contentment. He truly is a lucky cat.
