"I wouldn’t have thought that she needs the money that much."
The plastic surgeons that keep her from disintigrating don't come cheap. No people like that don't need any more money what the all want is to be seen and adored by mere mortals, its their adrenaline rush to be in control of an audience, I must admit I have never been to a live concert/Gig, I don't like crowds.Nor does a friend of mine. He has just had another holiday on the Nobiskrug and has just sent me some pics that show that there is something in a name

No, nobody’s gone quite that far, Nifty.
But ‘Mr Bates vs The Post Office’ tells the story of the "greatest miscarriage of justice in British history" in which sub-postmasters were hounded, persecuted and even convicted after a glitch in the company's new computer system”, when she was CEO of the Post Office. While also being a vicar in the Church of England, but decided to stand down, in 2021 IIRC, after this true story began having publicity. The case still hasn’t finished, twenty years later.
Mr Bates was offered an OBE, which he felt was on behalf of the hundreds of sub-postmasters and sub-postmistresses who were damaged, but turned it down because that CEO had received an MBE for her work at the Post Office and charity and he felt in all conscience that he couldn’t accept because of her being an MBE. She was partly awarded the MBE because she turned the company round from being loss-making - partly with the money stolen from the sub-postmasters and mistresses.
Fascinating and compelling viewing.

I believe she 'turned round the post office' on quite a large part of the money 'stolen' from the sub-postmasters and post-mistresses. She still does seem to believe that she didn't do anything wrong altho she has apologised on behalf of the P.O.

"...that CEO had received an MBE for her work at the Post Office ..." It was a CBE she was awarded GG, much higher...

Vennels will suffer a 'reap as you sow' backlash for years to come and rightly so, the Met are now more interested in the scandal and I wouldn't be surprised if senior Post Office staff are questioned as well as former Fujitsu employees.

The backlash being that they will have to say sorry ? Such a great pain to bear.
People at the top of organisations and their lackies that use and manipulate the law to their own ends should either take the long drop or do a Maxwell.
