Have used them many years ago, just checked for some salad cream for DW and they have gone bust.

That is a great shame. I have used them occasionally for those difficult to source items and recently for their British sausages (yes I know plenty of good French ones and indeed German ones but each are distinctly different).

My mrs. was getting a huge amount of spam from them in December pushing for orders, offering discounts, etc. Glad she didn't take the bait. Most likely would have lost her money.

Available at Super U under the "Tulip" brand, also next to the corned dog and tinned ham, found by the tinned fish! at least at mine.

That is a great shame. I have used them occasionally for those difficult to source items and recently for their British sausages (yes I know plenty of good French ones and indeed German ones but each are distinctly different). Toulouse sausages are OK but in Hove at the top of George Street was an amazing shop that specialised in sausages of all kinds. Never loaded with lots of fat. Not surprisingly there was always a queue at any time of day. My favourite was lamb with garlic and herbs. In Chania, Crete in the market which in those days (89) never saw a tourist (we were never tourists, always travellers) you could buy huge sausages that were full of herbs, garlic and goat meat. They were actually better cold than hot. We found this metalled road leading up into the mountains. As a skateboarder from way back it was a dream, I had by that time given my board away to my nephew. It would have been super fast and required a lot of skill not to slam into the rock. At the top there was a small village complete with Greek Orthodox priest and a small village shop with a huge freezer loaded with German type beer. To sit in the shade of a big tree, a warm wind blowing and eating these delicious sausages and cold beer. If it wasn't for Greek Law then when you couldn't buy anything without a Greek partner, we might well have bought land up there in the mountains, far,far away from tourism.

I always had difficulty going uphill on my board. I still have the scars from skating after a few beers.

I used to buy a lot of brit food crisps sausage rolls ect but I can live without it now. I think they have had there day there a brit food shop in Gueret dep 23 but it is never busy but they must be doing alright as they have been there for yonks. If your looking for a nice French sausage aldi do a very nice superior so they say chipolata it makes a great sausage roll.

I’ve been buying sausages from Bacon by the Box for several years. It’s produced in Ireland. Their beef and lamb is excellent as they hang it longer on the carcass than they do in france. When my freezer is low I make a large order. Comes well chilled. I vacuum pack it into portion sizes. The last order I added in their bacon and clotted cream. No complaints. They are now adding in more non fresh items so worth a look. baconbythebox.com/

I looked at them a few times but the prices were sky high, but then you have to make a profit, and once that is loaded on top it becomes uneconomicl. SuperU "HERTA" bacon 5 slices for 2€ not bad at all, bit thin but OK, last time I looked salad cream was about 6€ a bottle.

We get an order once a year from BBB. Bacon, sausages, and beef. Can't find anything that even compares for quality and flavour. The beef is even better than British and tender as well.
