I was browsing political parties ready for if I ever do get a vote and was pleased to see a strong movement of younger people wanting to support Europe. In fact, this party originated in Germany as a European party, but it seems that the UK has the strongest following with many local chapters. Reading the Dutch group policies (which are the policies of all countries of the group) I am impressed in the way they define the problems, state their (very sensible) solutions and then suggest ways to finance it. They also want to introduce a fair democracy with proportional representation. Well they get my vote voltuk.eu/ |

They will only get your vote if they stand a candidate in your constituency. How many candidates are they standing nationally please? Cant seem to find that out and on your link they still seem to think Liz Truss is Prime Minister.
Give up you lost the argument.

There is certainly a trend back towards support for membership of the EU but do not expect anything to change in the next 20 years.
The desire to turn the clock back to 2015 will be soured when it is realised all of the hard won special benefits for the UK were thrown away by the Brexit liars. That might well be enough to turn off waverers from supporting a re-entry.
It is interesting that turning the clock back seems to be a British trait. Brexiteers wanted to turn it back to 1968 and look where that got us.
When will Britain start to look forward again?

I can’t answer your question as I am still not registered in a constituency yet, they are very slow sorting it. I assume you’re a fully paid up member of the Raving Loony Party, they need your support. |

Will there be an EU to join? The current Commission and its leader have attempted to enforce a one for all policy with little consideration for the people who actually live and work in the EU. The rise of the extreme Right is their fault. If there is a major sea change then perhaps folk might want to rejoin.
Most people only see the inconveniences of passport control and length of stay and other seemingly common sense issues and do not see underlying trends that are in danger of ripping the thing apart.
So, rejoin, OK, but rejoin what?

I’m hoping that there will be a “slow” joining so that people accept the changes. For example, I suspect that, to begin with, labour would gradually push for rejoining a single market in order to help the U.K. economy. It’s easier to do it bit by bit than a complete all or nothing like the idiots voted for in 2016!

If allowed back in I hope that the criteria will be adoption of the euro from day one,no concessions on budget payment,worldwide income to be declared and tax payed on them.To name just a few.
