Aucamville. Our much loved friend gigi is having a lovely break in Shropshire and is sharing her experience with her friends. Perhaps you're not familiar with friendship?

@ aucamville .. This is not a French Forum .. it is not in French and I believe the servers are in the US.
It is a Forum for people who have a love of or an interest in France.
So how about you showing your love of France and posting something cheerful and positive ?

Well I love France, we went to a fete yesterday and got some really bad food for €12.50 , but had a laugh with some lovely French sheep people . The weather was great , so we have changed our routine and added an hour to our morning. Arriving home yesterday , all the power was off and the garden had been watered for us ! So that's pretty positive eh?

I wish someone would water my garden, it's like the Sahara.

It's already a very warm morning though there's just enough of a breeze for it not to feel stifling.

I wish someone would water my garden, it's like the Sahara. Why are you talking about the Sahara? It's not in France. 😉

Weather here in darkest Brittany has been very unusual for the region. Virtually no rain for a fortnight. If it wasn't for the constant bitterly cold wind it would be very pleasant indeed. Sadly, the lack of rain doesn't even slow down the growth of weeds and grass. Thinking of selling up and living in a camping car. Getting too old for this land maintenance and leaky roof nonsense.

Wish this wind would blow itself out, can understand why the Mistral drives people mad…. know what you mean about weeds and grass, just spent many, many hours clearing what was a wild flower border until the grass, docks and creeping buttercup took over….. going to replant with perennials and shrubs with loads of mulch from the compost bins in between to try and suppress the weeds….hopefully……. we’ve got a wild area where they’re welcome to grow, wish they’d just stick to that…..

This could stay here or moved the the gardening section as mods see fit. Anyone risked putting any bedding plans out? temps here are still dropping to 9C over night, have five hanging basket waiting to be put up but with the temps and a gusty late PM and cold NE wind don't want to risk it just yet.
