I am not the person to ask, the OP may have the inside information. I'll answer anyway as you ask, France is not "requiring" it's over 65's to have a booster vaccination as in obligatory, any more than it required them to have the vaccination, as a carrot and stick approach without a vaccination and soon a booster they are not be able to frequent boîtes de nuit, bars etc, even then they could were they minded to by having a lateral flow test done at their pharmacy, free initially and then chargeable. I don't know if that is still the case as I am even less tempted to visit these places than an over 65 year old. I did however visit a bar and 2 restaurants with friends I stayed with the last fortnight, I never needed to use my pass sanitaire even once.
Thank you for not answering. You knew exactly what was meant and took "requiring" out of context in relation to the question.
In view of the possibilty that the bar and restaurants you visited are in the UK any comment on your lack of pass would be presumptuous.
I don't think I took "requiring" out of context, the context was people entering France and the French over 65's neither of which have been required to have booster vaccinations.
I did answer your question as best I could given I had not said that over 65's will be refused entry to France
The bars & restaurants were in France, sorry if that was not clear, I came to the UK again yesterday after a one night stopover at my place in France on the journey back up from the special area.
A pass sanitaire or vaccination certificate or mask has not been required in UK pubs & restaurants for quite a long time now, I have not visited any and have no intention of doing so, we sat outside the bar in France in the rain and were shocked by what was going on inside, no table service so one of us had to run the gauntlet masked up to get served. I would imagine it was the same when the bars first re-opened in the UK but by now will have settled down.

We were inside a restaurant in a nearby village today for lunch. First time we have ever been to this particular restaurant. They didn't ask for our pass sanitaires. 🤔
The lunch was excellent by the way.

Been to two restaurants this week in the Pas de Calais; vaccine passes on phones checked carefully each time.

What annoys me are those who crow about not being asked for a passe, as if it is a badge of success! Speaking to someone the other day (whose children are anti-vaxers because a self professed mid-wife on that respected scientific journal, Facebook, says the vaccine upsets child birth) she was saying how great it was that one of the Irish pubs in Carcassonne (why does every town and village in France have an 'Irish pub'?) does not ask for a passe and everyone in there is quite happy... But then she criticised me for being high and mighty in not inviting her in for a coffee

No, they are 12 minutes away based in my town. I do feel that there has been a slackening off of checks around here.

A museum scanned ours on entry today. My NHS one could not be read at first (though it had passed muster in the aforementioned restaurants days earlier). I dug around in my AntiCovid app and came up with a different-looking version that worked. Phew. We had driven some distance for this visit, and it would have been very annoying to fail at this hurdle.

Booster shot status to be added to UK outbound international travel Covid pass from today....... A quick snap from Reuters here that the UK government has announced it will add booster shot status to the Covid-19 pass for outbound international travel, though it said they would not be added to the domestic pass at this time. The health ministry said that travellers who have had a booster or a third dose would be able to demonstrate their vaccine status through the NHS Covid Pass from Friday, adding that a booster was not necessary to travel into England.
Just logged into my NHS app and its already there.......

‘ why does every town and village in France have an 'Irish pub'?’
Because most French do not have a clue of the reality ? Perhaps because that gives them licence to sell drinks at extortionate prices.
I have only eaten in restaurants about half a dozen times over the last month or so, thinking about it, make that a dozen and have had to show certification every time.

The first weekend after we arrived nobody checked anything, which surprised me as friends had said that passes and masks were being taken very seriously in our small town. I then realised that the medieval fair that weekend meant that restaurants and cafés were rather overwhelmed, so just couldn't fit that in.
After that weekend we’ve been asked in almost every place we’ve been we’ve had ours checked, apart from places where we’ve sat on the terrace, are well known to the staff and known to have our passes, although we usually put our phones on the table ready.
My third jab is on my phone and ipad too, which was good to see. I think a lot if over-65s who have booked to come to France around Christmas will be relieved to have them.

We got our boosters this week..but they were recorded as second vaccinations, as we were only given one initial vaccination due to having had Covid. Currently the certificates are showing as 'not valid' when scanned, but the ones on our phones are still valid!

‘ why does every town and village in France have an 'Irish pub'?’[ If you think it's bad in France, try Dublin. (Where they're just called pubs.)
