We spoke with French ladies of Afgan descent ( we actually dared to ask ) on the right side of us and French elderly father and son on the left . The 6€ Pizza for supper was preceded by six oysters No 1 with a lovely bottle of cooled Bourgueil. We have one day off per week to do our shopping , this time a trip to Limoges to try to buy a new Mac .

Mais t'es pas très au courant, mon cher......Le Fish'n'Chips, les burgers.....c'est tropppp tendance I know , have noticed , vish'n'cheeps every where, even as the menu . Have even tried a few , but prefer Jen's version that we are having today , cod is very expensive and most French restaurants use a surrogate.

I wait for the promos on dos de cabillaud So do we , but they are getting fewer and further apart.
The best cabillaud is from Hyper U , we have tried Grand Frais , but have a sneaky suspicion that it is not cod.

So we had fish and chips with mushy peas for lunch ( plus apple and walnut pie) This evening was cheese on toast , but the cheddar isn't good for that , I prefer entre deux !

We had one of my OH's delicious concoctions .. homemade woodland mushroom risotto (with frozen mushrooms - I wouldn't trust us with real woodland mushrooms) with magret de canard - rather tasty and very moreish

Large pot of vegetable soup. Roasted a chicken…delicious Everything prepared for ragoût de bœuf.
