News at 13.00 on FR2. For me, shamefull behaviour. Lorries being emptied to search and destroy foreign produce, a tanker of wine emptied and shit being sprayed all over the place or dumped in front of selected buildings. Large fires etc etc.Autoroutes blocked. I have lost interest in their struggle.

We were out for our weekly shop and lunch today, the motorway was blocked with piles of shit and used farming plastic ,there was a column of black smoke pouring out of a pile of old tyres burning on the roundabout. All the heavy trucks were driving through the middle of town.
The farmers doing this are not those that grow veg and fruit. They are those that plough their land every year to grow crops to feed their intensive farmed animals ( pigs, lamb, cattle and chickens) that are kept in barns by their thousands.
The EU/French plan is for less meat and more veg/fruit, but these chaps don't want to follow that plan, they want to continue polluting and destroying under the motto , " it is our right".
End of rant , they are not thinking about the long term results of their actions but only about themselves.
Best way to travel LL, is to follow the trucks ,they know where the blockages are

I wasted almost an extra two hours on back roads getting to Chaumont in dep 52 today. Got some pictures will post on Monday when I'm home. You have hundreds of trucks on roads they would normally not be on, I now have zero sympathy with them, I know they will get what they want. They are risking people's lives and tractor's should not be allowed on motorways. The police should have blocked them there were plenty about.

In my opinion , they should note whom it is that is doing this and deduct the costs of clearing up the mess from their subsidies !

Or send the bill for the cleanup to every farm in the commune concerned, regardless of if they took part or not.

We live on a D road and for two days now it has been like a motorway with HGVs almost nose to tail. Oddly, only two tractors have passed. I can't determine where the nearest blockage is but it is certainly having an effect here on the edge of the universe.

That's a sweeping generalisation and what's more it's not true!

So the media have done their job Divide and rule.... The farmers are way beyond peaceful protests which, if they ever carried them out, certainly didn't achieve anything. I think they're going for broke this time and as far as I'm concerned, they can burn every administration building in France. Preferably with some of the snottier foncs inside.

No, I'm saying your opinion is misguided My best friend and 'big bruv' is a small producer/maraicher. He's not allowed to participate in the 'action' for health reasons but he's managing to support his colleagues (mostly also small producers of diverse crops) in other ways.
