From the French consulate London website, a minute ago..(Thursday 1735 French time)
“ DÉPLACEMENT DEPUIS LE ROYAUME-UNI VERS LA FRANCE” “ Cet article est actuellement en cours de modification.
Les nouvelles mesures seront indiquées prochainement sur le site du consulat général de France à Londres ainsi que le site du Ministère de l’Intérieur”
The ministry of the Interior website is unchanged ATM so looks like it’s still WIP….

I think those sites only display the currently in force rules. Once the day arrives that the rules change, the site gets updated.

That site has not been updated since Nov 29th
Important: new measures will come into effect as of 29/11/2021. Please check the page after this date for the details. In any event, please consult the latest travel advice before travelling. In the meantime, you can visit www.gouvernement.fr/info-

Sounds like had not decided the details and still havn't.
Until they publish a décret the worst that would happen is they ask an arrival from the UK to take a test sur honneur within 2 days of arrival.
Editted. I had not seen the postings on this page, I am now looking at the link to the new décret.

Found this this morning......
The test must have been taken within 48 hours of departure. The decree states that only tests “that are able to detect protein N of Sars-Cov2” can be used – this covers all PCR tests but not all antigen tests. Home tests have never been accepted for travel purposes.

Five minutes ago the content of the website of the French embassy in London has been updated, the amended text reads as follows: ===================================================================================== TRAVELLING FROM THE UK TO FRANCE 1. Travelling from the UK to France LAST MINUTE : From 4 December, fully vaccinated travellers (12 years old or more), and whatever their nationality, have to provide the result of a negative PCR or antigen test (in paper or digital format) carried out less than 48h hours prior to departure. Self-administred tests (NHS test for example) are not considered valid for travel. The NHS indicates that it will not carry out tests for travel purposes. Private entities offering the same service must therefore be used. ===================================================================================== It's now in force because this Décret n° 2021-1551 has been published in today's edition of le Journal Officiel, go to "Ministère des solidarités et de la santé" and there it is, # 30.

At the moment I have booked 2 PCR tests for us on Friday 17th, we travel on 18th, more than twice the price of antigen, but last thing we want is to have a non compatible antigen test, our nearest Boots had no slots available on that day, and one 25 Miles away only had one slot left, you can see why i was a bit anxious........get your tests booked now if you are travelling before Christmas...........

Just a heads up for you all travelling, Boots wont tighten on 'within' 48 hours for a PCR result, which is really of no use whatsoever if the country of travel says the test must be within 48 hours prior to travel, it could expire 1 second after you get the result LoL, so i have changed it to an antigen test as most places are saying the majority of antigen tests are for that N protein test, I also save £100 that way.......

The test must have been taken within 48 hours of departure.
Whenever I read that or similar statements it says to me that the test can be taken in France after arrival within the first 2 day yet the definitive text says "réalisé moins de 48 heures avant le déplacement"
