We returned on 1st September using Eurofins at £20 each, had day 2 test yesterday morning, got results yesterday evening. Both of us negative.
Returned to UK? Where did you get the drive through test done? The chat line is giving nonsense replies.

I get the reasoning behind the Day 2 test and if it was being properly managed then I would agree that it was a sensible 'belt and braces' approach to stopping the spread via imported cases, but it isn't.

It seems strange that all these BIL's etc makinge good money from a system that forces people into their greedy grasp when any UK citizen, resident or visitor can ring 119 and have delivered the very next day the exact self same test kit with the exact self same priority mail box service for sending the sample for analysis free of charge.
I had booked and paid for a day 2 test in advance which still has yet to materialise, I doubt that it will, I went to the local pharmacy on day 1 to get a free 7 day test kit but they were out of stock so I phoned 119 as the gov site www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests said that you could order them there.
I did so and was impressed when the package arrived the next day (my day 2) as I had phoned late aftenoon, what arrived was not the pack of 7 day self tests that I expected but a single test with return packaging for putting into a priority drop box, so it was even better and very timely, problem was it cant be used without a code from an E-mail which I did not recieve, the guy on the phone knew this, he said he needed the code to send it out, waited while I checked my inbox (not recieved) then said don't worry I have another way, I said you have probably mis-spelt my long E-mail address & offered to spell it out again but he said no need.
I did not know then that I would recieve a proper test kit but could not send it of for analysis nor see myself if I was positive (it does not contain the testing strip) so it would be a waste of my time and the governments money.
That day (day 2) the pharmacie had the self test kits that contain everything to carry out 7 tests (mine was negative) and they tried to press several others on me saying "just say there are more people in your household!".
My conclusion is that the country is now awash with covid testing self test kits, home test kits with laboratory follow up but they dont want to stop the gravy train for their friends and BIL's.

Were you offered a list of drive through locations or given one based on your address? There doesn't appear to be a list of drive through locations on the website and I can't get their chat line to respond to my questions about such locations but will try again tomorrow a working day..

I think they only have a few drive through locations around the country, Warrington was convenient for us. It would only have cost a few pounds worth of fuel thus a big saving compared what some people have been paying. Quite a few people were using them, four vehicles in front of us at the car park entrance and about thirty vehicles parked up with the occupants doing the test.

Still no response on chat line other than a standard reply which doesn't answer my question.
However, I found a map on Eurofin's website. There are only two drive through locations, one in Scotland and yours in Warrington. There are many drop box locations including one in the next village to me and two others within 10 miles but that means the £39.90 test kit.
