Do you actually care who wins the French presidency ?
As a Brit living in France do you actually care who wins ? Or will it change nothing in your life ?
Personally I care. Very much so.
Anyone but Macron for me.

Yes, I would like to see Le Pen win. Hopefully my vote counts towards this.
France needs change. Big time.. Even if it means a big shake up for the next few years.

I do not have a vote, but I do not see how anyone who supports (or who has received support in the past, as MLP did last time) from Putin can be voted for. Putin also helped finance Leave/Brexit lest we forget.

Another 'least worst' election with Macron winning again, any 'real' change will come in 2027 when he has to stand down.

Apart from the way he handles the gilet jaunes I feel he has done a decent job. I will be voting for him as the alternatives are even worse imo.

Macron is saved if Brits living in France vote for him.
How does that work ? He hates the British ?
And the French.
In fact he hates everyone apart from himself.
No, no.....don't go there.
Not Macron.
Ibis summed it up...'France needs change. Big time.. Even if it means a big shake up for the next few years'.
Ibis is right.

Macron, as the least worst candidate. We'll see how long the Le Pen fan boys are singing her praises if she gets in. Jeez, as if the world is not in a bad enough state.

With a war so close and the possibility of it expanding, it is the best possible situation for maccron; the incumbent will always prevail is the norm.
Sad, but France really needs to change to become more competitive in this NWO.

The point of the thread is, if you missed it, what effect will the result have on Brit expats life ? Does it really matter who wins for Brits living in France ? MLP ? Macron, Mr burns ? Those voting for Macron (I mean the Brits here who have a vote) are they voting for France (like for my kids furture) or themselves ?

You could vote for your children's future if you applied for French citizenship.
OTOH I thought you said that your children wanted to live in the UK ?

Although you cannot vote you can still volunteer for your candidate, preach for your candidate on another forum where it will count;
do I go on?
Those islander expats you speak about who are voting for "france" have been here for 10+ years, have citizenship (passport for those that do not understand) and support the french soccer team unless it is against England.

Macron is the fourth president we've lived under since being here and none of them have affected our life too much as Brits, MLP is not a fan of immigrants so who knows what she would do.
