Exactly that Gigi - Why some people have their heads buried so far up Macrons Ar*e is beyond me when the evidence of his mismanagement is plain to see - and as for his glove puppets Castex and Veran words fail me - Still lets look forward to next year's election with some hope that the Little Banker will be deposed - Maybe a Female Can sort out the current shirt show 😊😊😊 P.S. you can replace shirt with sh*t but l thought it rather elegant😉😉😉 It's a little desperate when you like your own posts, isn't it?
Do you really, really think that MLP could do better? Convince us how, please, if you can. With fewer capital letters.

Every leader worldwide has made mistakes, that has to be normal for such a unique situation. The problem I have with Macron is he dillied and dallied with his AZ decision making. One day it was ok, then it wasn’t ok, then it was ok for over 75 year olds etc etc The ‘people’ want strong leadership but Macron, acting on advice given by both French and EU sources instilled the AZ uncertainty in the minds of his people. When M.apples said about ‘a female’sorting out things my mind went to Ségolène Royale and not MlP. Basically the winner of the First Round will become President , assuming it’s not MiP of course.

And it looks like it was right to do so. The Pfizer vaccine appears to be more effective and longer lasting. Well done France for making the right choice. A more cynical view might be that the decision was political but turned out to be a lucky one? Just sayin'...

The UK is the only country that is still going on about AZ vs Pfizer. I've never heard a French person complaining that Macron won't let them have AZ...and the result of the elections next year will be decided by French people, who if anything are more pissed off at the fact that they have to have any vaccine at all, not whether one brand is better tha another.
I don't know that any of the two names mentioned as viable alternatives to Macron will get the votes. Both have a base of supporters but whether that will be enough to topple Macron I don't know.
I am hoping that we will get our nationality through in time to vote. I am not up Macron's backside...he has lots of faults and has made mistakes..but until someone comes forward who is more credible he will get my vote. I might be tempted by Sigolene Royale if she can say anything sensible. The guy from the North is just an opportunist.

“The UK is the only country that is still going on about AZ vs Pfizer.”
I also thought that controversy had died a death but I wonder if the news that the UK vaccination programme has slowed dramatically has rattled a few cages, particularly amongst those who still see this as a race and don’t like some of the very recent headlines and stories about rates in the EU?
Given the problems AZ did have in the States in gaining approval (has it been approved at all there?) I wonder when our AZ champions are going to turn their guns to the west and start kicking the American authorities, President Trump and President Biden or are their motives simply to have a grumble about Mr Macron?
All the above doesn’t and shouldn’t detract from what fantastic job the NHS has done with the vaccine(s) they had available…the last of family to do “done” is working in London and of this w/e is now fully vaccinated (Pfizer FWIW).

AZ is still not approved in the US which is causing alarm amongst those hoping to travel there when the border is finally fully opened to us plebs in Europe.

Maybe more to do with protectionism than health issues Tim ? There definitely seems to be more than a small element of that when it comes to the States and travel restrictions …nevertheless any minute now it’ll be “ah but Macron”

Yes of course.
The UK government showed exceptional fidelity with the AZ gig and portrayed the drug as the wonder cure, and quite rightly. It has helped millions and so difficult to poo poo. I just wonder if Boris and co would have shown the same enthusiasm if it had been imported from the EU as as a European invention ?

Sorry about the shirt/shit remark but it was the autocorrect that made me laugh. As for MLP FFS you have drawn an incorrect conclusion - I was, in fact, thinking about Valerie Pecresse www.lepoint.fr/politique/presidentielle-2022-valerie-pecresse-annonce-sa-candidature-22-07-2021-2436495_20.phpBy the way what are the forums Capital Letters rule - l think l missed it

Let us not ignore the fact (fact, not opinion) that the EMA state that Pfizer and Moderna give avg 94% efficacy to all age groups, whilst AZ gives between 60-70% efficacy in the under 55 year old. The French government were right. It must have been a difficult decision to go with those 2 vaccines because of the huge logistical problems associated with extreme cold storage but they did what was right, and did not take the easy option just to look good.

I thought that was when the words were all capitals - However the correct usage in formal writing is laid out very clearly and precisely here: www.skillsyouneed.com/write/capital-letters.htmlI Love The Douglas Adams Quote "Capital Letters Were Always The Best Way Of Dealing With Things You Didn't Have A Good Answer To"

My comment about capital letters relates to the underlined bits of your post quoted below:
Having read it again, I think a reading of the site to which you linked in relation to the use of full stops, dashes, and apostrophes might be instructive.
