That’s not a definition. If you read the definitions not the examples you might understand pedantry.

I really am having some difficulty why FFS and you are behaving towards me as though l have committed some kind of crime - all l did was use Capital letters in a post and now you are subjecting me to some serious trolling - What's going on ?

Let us not ignore the fact (fact, not opinion) that the EMA state that Pfizer and Moderna give avg 94% efficacy to all age groups, whilst AZ gives between 60-70% efficacy in the under 55 year old. The French government were right. It must have been a difficult decision to go with those 2 vaccines because of the huge logistical problems associated with extreme cold storage but they did what was right, and did not take the easy option just to look good. I think we should be a little circumspect in throwing comparative numbers around at this stage of the pandemic. It is a fact that the EMA stated that, it may not be a fact that the numbers are correct. To counter what you have stated I will throw in: www.bmj.com/content/374/bmj.n1920Pfizer vaccine’s efficacy declined from 96% to 84% four months after second dose, company reports In contrast, it is currently being suggested that AZ may have a sufficiently low decline in efficacy that booster jabs may not be required (not sure I accept that at this stage but it is nevertheless being reported). We should recognise that we have a number of vaccines that work and work well. Some are better in some circumstances ( based on the data we have today) but others may be shown to have benefits in other areas. Rather than playing one off against another we should celebrate the fact that there is choice.

My take is that the media have picked up on antibody titres but fail to grasp the importance of vaccination on T Cells.
In effect the T cells are the control centre and tell the immune factory to make the relevant antibodies and send them off to war. As I understand it there is some evidence of greater T cell (specifically T helper cell) "priming" from AZ compared to Pfizer. If that is the case then AZ would be expected to confer a longer period of immunity.
Of course, I might have this all wrong. There is much theorising yet to be demonstrated empirically.
